Big Ben

Big Ben is one of London’s most recognizable landmarks and an absolute must-see when visiting the city. Officially referring to the Great Bell inside the Elizabeth Tower, the iconic clock tower rises proudly above the Houses of Parliament along the River Thames. Seeing it in person feels surreal — it’s one of those landmarks you’ve seen countless times in photos, yet it’s even more impressive up close.

We loved walking along Westminster Bridge for some of the best views and photo angles of the tower. Whether you see it during the day against a bright blue sky or illuminated at night, Big Ben never disappoints. The surrounding area is lively and historic, making it a perfect starting point for exploring central London.

Tip: Visit early in the morning if you want photos without heavy crowds. The area gets especially busy mid-day, but the quiet morning light makes the experience feel much more relaxed and memorable.
