Exploring Old Town Prague
Old Town Prague feels like stepping straight into a storybook. The cobblestone streets, colorful Baroque buildings, Gothic towers, and ornate facades create one of the most visually stunning city centers in Europe. Every direction offers something worth admiring — from intricate architectural details to lively squares filled with history and energy.
The heart of it all is Old Town Square, where the famous Astronomical Clock draws crowds every hour. Watching the clock come to life as the figures move and the chimes ring is a small but memorable experience, especially knowing it has been marking time since the 15th century. Even outside of the hourly show, the clock’s intricate design is worth taking a closer look.
We loved simply wandering without a strict plan — ducking down side streets, stopping for kolaches, and taking in the incredible skyline punctuated by church spires and towers. Early morning and evening are especially magical, when the light softens and the crowds thin out. Old Town isn’t just a place to see — it’s a place to slowly soak in.
