Our Experience - Secret Food Tours Charleston – Upper King St. Brunch Tour
The Secret Food Tours Upper King Street Brunch Tour quickly became one of our favorite experiences in Charleston, and a huge part of that was our guide, Nathan. Simply put, he was incredible.
Of course, the food itself was excellent. The brunch offerings showcased Charleston's vibrant culinary scene and highlighted the creativity that has made Upper King Street one of the city's premier dining destinations. Our favorite bite of the tour was easily the hot little biscuits, which somehow managed to live up to all the hype and then some.
What truly elevated the experience, however, was Nathan's storytelling. His knowledge of Charleston history seemed endless, but he didn't stop there. Conversations effortlessly flowed between local history, American history, world events, architecture, food culture, and Charleston's place within all of it.
Walking through Upper King Street while learning about the neighborhood's transformation and culinary evolution made the experience feel like far more than a food tour. It felt like equal parts history lesson, city tour, and brunch experience all rolled into one.
By the end of the tour, it felt like we had spent the morning exploring Charleston with an incredibly knowledgeable friend who happened to know where all the best food was hiding. If Nathan is your guide, you're in for an exceptional experience.
