Our Experience - Guiness Storehouse Experience + Stoutie

Visiting the Guinness Storehouse was an unforgettable highlight of our trip to Dublin. We booked an early morning tour to beat the crowds, and it was the perfect way to start the day. The experience is self guided and walked us through the history of Guinness, sharing fascinating stories about its origins and evolution over the centuries.

The tour began in the museum galleries, where we explored interactive exhibits and historic artifacts that brought the Guinness story to life. From the founding by Arthur Guinness to the brand's global impact today, every display was both informative and engaging.

Next, we learned about the meticulous process of crafting each batch icluding the four key ingredients of brewing: water, barley, hops, and yeast. The brewing section provided a behind-the-scenes look at how Guinness achieves its distinctive flavor and quality.

Of course, a tour to the Guinness Storehouse is incomplete without a tasting. We sampled the standard Guinness and learned how to properly pour the perfect pint. We added on the Stoutie experience to our tour and can say it made for some incredibly Instagram-worthy photos. Essentially, you jump into a photoboth for a quick "selfie" before a machine turns it into a "stoutie" on top of the trademark thick head of creamy Guinness foam. But seriously, who doesn't need a pint of Guinness with their face on it?

Finally, we enjoyed the panoramic views from the Gravity Bar while sipping more pints — a breathtaking way to end the tour. Between the history, the brewing insights, and the tasting experiences, the Guinness Storehouse exceeded our expectations and is a must-visit for any beer enthusiast.
