Our Experience - Colosseum Guided Tour
Exploring the Colosseum, Roman Forum, and Palatine Hill with a knowledgeable guide completely transformed this experience for us. With so much history layered into every stone, having expert insight brought ancient Rome vividly to life. Our guide, Georgia, was exceptional — not only deeply knowledgeable about Roman history, but also skilled at navigating the massive crowds with ease. She grew up in Rome and even shared personal stories of playing near the Colosseum and on its ancient stones as a child, which made the tour feel both intimate and authentic.
Walking through the Colosseum, it’s hard not to be awed by the sheer scale and engineering of this ancient amphitheater. From there, we wandered through the Roman Forum, once the political and social heart of the empire, and climbed Palatine Hill for breathtaking views over the ruins below. Georgia layered historical context, mythology, and everyday Roman life into the tour, helping us truly understand what we were seeing rather than just walking past ruins.
