Our Experience - Pacific Fleet Submarine Museum
The Pacific Fleet Submarine Museum offers a fascinating look into the underwater side of naval warfare, centered around the USS Bowfinβa World War II submarine docked at Pearl Harbor. Often referred to as the βPearl Harbor Avenger,β the Bowfin provides a unique opportunity to step inside a real submarine and see how sailors lived and operated beneath the surface.
Walking through the submarine is an experience in itself. The narrow passageways, low ceilings, and compact living spaces give you a real appreciation for the conditions submariners faced during extended missions. Itβs a hands-on, immersive way to understand a different aspect of military history.
In addition to the submarine tour, the museum features exhibits that highlight the evolution and importance of the U.S. submarine fleet. From early designs to modern advancements, it offers a well-rounded look at submarine warfare.
Located right near the main visitor center, this is one of the easiest Pearl Harbor attractions to visit and pairs well with the USS Arizona Memorial. Itβs a quick but memorable experience that adds another dimension to your time at Pearl Harbor.
