Our Experience - Icelandic Sweet Tooth Tour

The Icelandic Sweet Tooth Tour was a delightful and relaxed way to experience Reykjavik, blending local desserts, culture, and history into a beautiful afternoon stroll through the city.

Our guide, Thor, provided an excellent mix of storytelling and insight, sharing Icelandic history and traditions while introducing us to a variety of local sweets along the way. By surprise, the tour ended up being completely private — just my wife and me — and Thor truly took the time to engage with us and warmly welcome us into the world of Icelandic desserts.

One of our favorite tastings was the happy marriage cake, a classic Icelandic treat that perfectly matched the cozy, personal feel of the tour. Walking through Reykjavik between stops was incredibly pleasant and gave us a chance to slow down and take in the charm of the city.

A thoughtful extra touch was that Thor took photos for us throughout the tour and shared them afterward. It was a wonderful keepsake and something we really appreciated, allowing us to stay present and enjoy the experience without worrying about capturing every moment ourselves.
