Our Experience - Reykjavik Food Walk
What a fantastic way to experience Icelandic cuisine! We’ve been on several food tours in the past, and this one easily ranks as one of our favorites.
The Reykjavik Food Walk offered a great mix of traditional and unique Icelandic dishes. From classic local favorites like the iconic Icelandic hot dog to more adventurous tastings (yes, including fermented shark!), everything was thoughtfully selected and genuinely delicious.
The tour was extremely well organized and paced perfectly, making it easy to relax and enjoy each stop. Walking through Reykjavik between tastings added to the experience, giving us a great feel for the city while learning about Icelandic food culture along the way.
Our guide, Alfi, was an absolute highlight of the tour. He was knowledgeable, entertaining, and a lot of fun, and did an excellent job sharing stories about the food, the restaurants, and local life in Reykjavik.
The experience ended on a memorable high note with rye bread ice cream — a creative and delicious finish that perfectly summed up how unique and enjoyable this tour was.
Highly recommend the Reykjavik Food Walk to anyone looking to explore Iceland through its food.
