Our Experience - Secret Food Tours San Diego
The Secret Food Tours San Diego experience was a fantastic way to explore the Gaslamp Quarter while enjoying an impressive amount of delicious food along the way. This was our first time on a Secret Food Tour and it easily has become one of our favorite tour experiences.
Our guide, Doug, was incredibly personable and made the tour a lot of fun from start to finish, setting a relaxed and welcoming tone for the group.
The tour kicked off at the Lumpia Factory, where we were treated to freshly made lumpia — the perfect way to start the experience. From there, the stops kept coming, and the amount of food throughout the tour was no joke. We were genuinely full by the end, which is always a great sign of a well-paced food tour.
One of our favorite moments was enjoying a matcha drink from Tiger Cafe, which added a refreshing and unexpected twist to the lineup. Each stop offered something different, and every bite was consistently delicious.
In between tastings, we enjoyed a pleasant walk through San Diego’s historic Gaslamp Quarter, giving us time to soak in the atmosphere and learn more about the neighborhood’s character and history.
