Our Experience - Heineken VIP Tour
We booked the very first tour of the day, and it set the tone for an unforgettable experience. Our tour guide, Josephine, was fantastic — engaging, knowledgeable, and full of enthusiasm, which made every part of the tour even more enjoyable.
After setting off for the beginning of the tour, we headed into the museum area, where we explored a fascinating collection of Heineken artifacts and learned about the rich history of the brewery. From the early days of brewing to the innovations that shaped the brand, it was a deep dive into Heineken's story that was both educational and entertaining.
Next, we got a behind-the-scenes look at the production area. Seeing the brewing process up close, from the fermentation tanks to the bottling line, added a tangible, immersive layer to the history we had just learned.
The experience wouldn’t have been complete without tasting a selection of Heineken varieties in Freddy’s Bar. Sampling the different beers, learning about their unique flavors, and comparing the classic with Heineken 0.0 made for a delicious, interactive segment of the tour.
To top it all off, each guest took home a personalized bottle of Heineken 0.0 — a thoughtful souvenir that perfectly captured the experience. From start to finish, this tour was both fun and informative, and we couldn’t recommend it more.
After the VIP portion of the tour was over, we walked through the Heineken Experience self-guided tour and museum, which concluded in another Heineken bar in which we could trade our drink tokens for more Heineken beer.
All in all, a great stop and a memorable experience for anyone, beer lover or not, while visiting Amsterdam!
